Usually what we\u2019re describing isn\u2019t as complex as it sounds!&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That\u2019s a Mouthful<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As an example: <\/span><b>alveoloplasty. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That\u2019s just the technical term for the surgical reshaping of your jawbone, often performed after extraction to prepare your mouth for a tooth or <a href=\"\/services\/restorative-dentistry\/#TeethInADay\">teeth replacement<\/a>. Words (or abbreviations) you\u2019ll hear more commonly include prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, <a href=\"\/services\/family-dentistry\/#MouthGuards\">TMJ<\/a>, and bruxism.
