How SureSmile Works

Orthodontic treatment works by applying gentle, sustained pressure to the teeth. This gradually shifts them over time. Traditional braces use brackets and wires, but SureSmile is different. It utilizes a series of custom-made plastic aligner trays. You should wear each one for 20 – 22 hours each day for about two weeks. As you gradually work your way through your aligners, your teeth will eventually reach their ideal positions (this may take anywhere from a few months to more than a year). You will visit us periodically throughout your treatment so we can monitor your progress and help you succeed.
